MU BATTLE SOCCER EVENT

OMG, this event gives me memories (you can guess how long I've been GM-ing LOL).

For those in the dark, the MU Battle Soccer Event again pits guilds against each other on a different kind of battlefield, with a fiery soccer ball. Five players composed of each character class must race to 100 points before time runs out.

New Rakion Features--PLUS A BONUS!

In the last of our three-part series on Rakion's newest patch, we present to you Rakion's newest game features.

CHARACTER PREVIEW

This new feature is especially useful to newbies creating their first characters, but old-timers will also benefit and be better informed about their planned builds.

Preview of a Warrior

On the Character Creation screen, you can now view not only what the character looks like, but also a brief description and its strengths and weaknesses.

You still can't change your character's gender, though. Boo. :(

ROOM INVITE BUTTON

Remember how annoying it was when you had to PM each and every one of your friends your Room number and password just so they can enter? Say goodbye to that as we introduce to you the INVITATION BUTTON!

With a simple click of a button on your waiting room screen, you can invite your friends to join your room. They don't even have to enter a password if your room's password-protected.

Agree, Disagree, Refuse?

Invited players will then see a window pop up displaying the invite. They can then choose to either Accept or Reject the invitation.

That just makes life so much easier, don't you think?

LOOK, A BONUS FEATURE!

Those Softnyx guys must really love the newbies. They've even created Gold and Cash discount coupons just to help you out!

Players level 30 and below will get a chance to receive a randomly generated Discount Coupon when they level up, which they can use to get discounts on Gold or Cash purchases (whichever coupon they receive) at the Rakion store.

Frequent Rakion shoppers are awarded with these little darlings, too. If you're a frequent shopper, whether for gold or cash items, you can also get a chance to receive a coupon.

These coupons will appear in your inventory with the following values (Cash and Gold):

To use the coupon, double-click on it in your inventory. Then click on the item you wish to purchase in the Rakion store. The coupon will automatically deduct the % value from the item price.

NOTE: A GOLD Discount coupon will NOT work with a CASH purchase. I'm sure we all have enough common sense to know that, but I'd still like to remind you guys because I'm OC. Hehehehe.

From Dusk Till Dawn: The Items

We've shown you the new events, now check out the new ex-items you'll soon be buying in Rakion. Remember, you can only buy these items with Rakion Cash, so start stocking up!

STAGE RESET

Stage games in Rakion can get boring because of the non-replayability. What do I mean? Well, say you clear a stage, get a rank, gold and XP. After that, the only challenge will be to get a higher rank for more gold and XP. But who does that, anyway? I know I don't.

Good thing there's the new Stage Reset ex-item. This little baby will reset ALL the stages you've previously cleared, but not the gold and XP you've earned. Now you've got a clean slate to start all over again!

Note that you can only use this item once after purchase and that it will only work with the character that you use to buy it with.

LEVEL LIMIT DISABLER

Stage games are just so much easier played with a high-level character. Unfortunately, those damn stages have level limits that restrict higher- or lower-level characters from entering.

With this new item, you can enter ALL stage games regardless of your level! You read that right: those difficult stages that you couldn't finish as a noob is now available for the taking!

You can use this item with ANY character in your account, but you can only use it for 24 hours, after which it will be rendered useless.

It's Rakion month this October

October has just passed the halfway mark, and you know what that means:

RAKION RAVE CHAOS PARTY* has ended!

But worry not, Rakion adiks. Today, October 16th, you'll be dipping your grubby little hands into Rakion's newest patch:

Just what is this new patch all about, you ask? Notice how the title is so similar to that movie with vampires and stuff? Well, that's where all the similarity ends. Nope, we're not springing vampires in this game, not anytime soon, at least. Find out why we'll have you playing from dusk till dawn in this three-part feature.

THE EVENTS FROM DUSK TILL DAWN

You know and I know that Golem War mode is the most played game in Rakion for the high XP yield. So what better way to make this game more exciting than a new event?

Enter: KILL THE GOLEM GM!

Events rounds will randomly appear after the 5th round. You'll know it's an event round when you see this message:

Scary, isn't it?

In the event round, the usually lonesome Golden Golem will be replaced by a Golden Golem with the face of a Softnyx GM and will be accompanied by six fearsome Longbows.

That is one fugly Golem

If you've been more of a support unit than an attacker, now is the time to start getting more aggressive! The player who deals the last killing blow on the Golem GM will receive a randomly generated item (HP, CP, Defense Up, Attack Power Up, Chaos Point 1Up). If you're really lucky, you might even get a piece of the much-vaunted Elemental Armor!

And if you do get the Elemental Helm, get ready for a surge of PMs after you see your name announced server-wide! You'll be faaa-mous!

Try to kill the Golem GM as soon as it appears; if it revives again during the event round, it will spawn as a normal Golden Golem.

Rakion's always been about limits, have you guys noticed? A limit on armor you can wear, room limits, level limits in stage games, even character sex limits (now who wants to see a FEMALE blacksmith? I know I do hahaha)!

This time we're lifting some limits on a FEW things like, say, Stage game levels and clearance. Yep, you read that right--it's time for a new event!

THE STAGE GAME LEVEL DELIMITER

The English is a bit wacky, but you get the idea

This event is as simple as the title says. But for the less astute among us, here's a short breakdown.

Stage games always have a level limit. But for the whole duration of this event (24 hours), players of all levels can play any stage game they want. Mobs and XP don't change, too.

The countdown begins from your first log-in, and you will be updated with how much time you have left through time trackers that will be visible in the channel window, game rooms and inside the games you play as well.

Don't worry, PvP adiks. Death Team and Death Solo game modes will also get their own event in CHAOS REBORN.

Watch out, that mage you were chasing just might turn Chaos!

In this event, players can get a chance to randomly (don't we just looove this word?) turn into Chaos mode regardless of how many Chaos points they have. So, say you only have 2 of 6 Chaos points, you can still get to be a Chaos berserker.

But as with normal Chaos mode, once you turn, your Chaos points if any will reset to 0.
